2024 NBA Playoffs
The NBA playoffs are here! 20 teams are competing to win the Larry O'brien Championship Trophy! This page will discuss the format of the playoffs that was discussed in the meeting.
Conferences
There are 2 conferences, each with 15 teams. They play within their conference other more often and the playoffs are split by conference.
Western Conference
The better conference statistically, the teams we talked about included the Lakers with LeBron James, the Nuggets with Nikola Jokic, and the Suns with Kevin Durant.Eastern Conference
The Celtics dominated the regular season with the best record in the NBA. We talked about players such as Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday on that team. We also went around and talked about who we think can win this side.Playoff format
These are the play-in teams, who are playing to get into the playoffs. Using the format on the image, these teams try to get the final two playoff spots in their respective confrence.

Then, in a best out of 7 series, teams continue to play in their conference until each conference has a winner. Then, the winning team from each conference plays each other in the NBA Finals. The most recent champion was the Denver Nuggets.
